I would like to clarify that my concern was never about your sterilization or infection-control protocols. At no point did I suggest that your office was unsafe or that your procedures were inadequate.
My concern was the attitude and communication of the staff member I interacted with during my consultation.
I was simply sharing my personal experience from another dental office regarding the materials used during an initial examination. Instead of having a respectful discussion, my experience was immediately dismissed and described as “not true.” I was then asked which clinic I had visited because the staff member appeared convinced that my experience could not have happened.
I found this surprising, as nobody present had visited that clinic or witnessed my experience firsthand. Different clinics may have different procedures, materials, or practices. Simply because something is not done at your office does not mean it cannot exist elsewhere. I was not making accusations or criticizing your office—I was only sharing my own experience and asking questions. As a patient, I do not believe it is appropriate to have my personal experience dismissed or challenged in this way.
What bothered me most was not the discussion itself, but the way it was handled. I felt that my experience was dismissed rather than listened to, and that the conversation was conducted in an arrogant, dismissive, and disrespectful manner. As a potential patient, I expected a professional and respectful exchange, even if there were differences in opinion or practice.
It was also my first time visiting your office. I was unfamiliar with the location, parking arrangements, and surrounding area. Due to rush-hour traffic and difficulty locating parking, I accidentally passed the entrance and had to drive around before returning. I called ahead to let the office know that I would be arriving late.
While I understand the importance of arriving on time, I do not believe that being late under these circumstances, especially after providing notice, justifies being treated with a dismissive or disrespectful attitude. As a new patient visiting an unfamiliar office for the first time, I expected courtesy and understanding, not judgment.
I also found it inappropriate to be told, in essence, that if I preferred something different, I should simply go elsewhere. Patients should be able to ask questions and share their experiences without feeling judged, challenged, or unwelcome.
Professionalism is not only reflected in clinical standards and infection-control protocols, but also in how patients are spoken to and treated. Unfortunately, I did not feel respected during this interaction, which is why I decided not to proceed with treatment at your office.
I appreciate your explanation of your clinic’s protocols. However, my feedback was about the way I was treated, not about the safety of your practice.

Two of my friends had also come here for their treatment and highly recommended the office, which gave me the confidence to start my own journey. Having a crossbite and starting treatment a bit later in life, I initially felt discouraged and wasn’t sure I would achieve the results I wanted. However, Dr. Luu and the team were attentive, accommodating with my schedule, and supportive throughout the entire process.
Even after treatment, they continued with follow-up appointments to ensure everything was progressing smoothly. Their professionalism, care, and attention to detail made the entire experience a very positive one.
I couldn’t recommend this office enough.

From the very beginning, they were professional, welcoming, and made me feel comfortable. Dr Luu was always patient in explaining the process, and making sure I understood each step of my treatment. The team was friendly, expertise and efficient. They always being so supportive and encouraged me along the way.
I'm so happy with the result, and highly recommend First Impression Orthodontics to anyone considering the treatment.

Dr. Luu obviously has a great passion for his work, and it shines through in his interactions with patients. The entire FIO team played a critical role in my successful treatment, and I am very happy with the final results!
If ever you or anyone you know is looking to have their braces done, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Luu and his amazing team.
(If the patients' chairs were only a few inches longer, I'd happily give you guys 6/5⭐️)
All jokes, thank you again!
🙂
